What we collect when you ask for a free estimate, why, and how long we keep it.

Who we are

This website belongs to Designers Floors LLC, a flooring sales and installation company serving Metro Detroit and surrounding communities. “We” and “us” on this page mean Designers Floors LLC.

What we collect when you ask for an estimate

When you send the Free In-Home Estimate form, we receive:

  • your name and phone number;
  • your email address, if you choose to give it;
  • your ZIP code or city;
  • the flooring types you ticked and your message, if any;
  • the page you sent the form from and the date and time.

We do not ask for payment details, and we do not store your IP address.

Why we use it

We use this information only to contact you about your estimate: to call you, arrange the in-home visit and answer your questions. Owner to confirm We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

What happens after you send the form

Your request is saved in our website's database, where only our administrators can see it after signing in. We are then sent an email notification with the details of your request so we can call you back.

Website statistics and cookies

To understand which pages are useful, the website keeps basic statistics about page views: the page, the date and time, the website that linked to us (its address only), campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), the device type, the browser and operating system family, whether the visit looks automated. It does not store your IP address or the full technical description of your browser.

The website uses these cookies:

  • df_sid: a random identifier that groups the pages viewed in one visit. It contains nothing about you and lasts 30 days. If you send the estimate form, the same identifier is saved with your request, so we can see which pages led to it.
  • df_af and df_msg: short-lived security and form cookies that protect the estimate form and show the thank-you message. They end when you close your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking tools. You can block cookies in your browser; the website and the estimate form still work.

Service providers

We use a small number of companies to run the website on our behalf. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

  • our website hosting provider, which runs the website and its database;
  • an email delivery service, which sends us the notification of your request, and our business email provider, whose mailbox receives it;
  • our network and security provider, which delivers the website and its photos and may check form submissions for spam;
  • a backup storage provider, which keeps backup copies of the website's data.

How long we keep it

  • Estimate requests are kept until we delete them. Owner to confirm how long requests are kept after a job is finished or declined.
  • Page-view statistics are deleted automatically after 13 months.

Your choices

You never have to use the form: you can call us instead. To ask what information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct it or delete your request, contact us at 313-720-4235.
